Thanks!!! Also Zoo-ika v1.0.1

Wow, y'all!

I've been super blown away by the response to this silly little game. I honestly didn't think more than 50 people would play it over its lifetime let alone... HOLY HECK 11k PLAYS IN THE FIRST WEEK????

Thank you guys so so much, for playing and for your feedback.

Also, some of you may have noticed already that Zoo-ika is a selectable category on twitch now for you streamers out there!

-------------------------

Anyways... this is just a little update, which is honestly bigger of an update than I thought I'd be giving. Haha

The Short:

  • Fixed the Sound toggle button on mobile. Now you can toggle the sound effects off and on!
  • Added a little bark to the Bump button.

The long:

I was kind of determined to just never touch it again once I'd finished it, but it had been brought to my attention that the sound toggle button didn't work on mobile (it would double click itself for a reason too stupid for me to explain). Making this game has been a real lesson in "making a single application that works on every platform sucks and shouldn't be done."

Also, I had made the sound effect for the dog bark and just never implemented it. I'm not gonna lie, I just forgot.

-------------------------

In other news...

The response to Zoo-ika has kind of energized me to work on my next, much more daunting project, the scope of which keeps creeping. Oops.
I'm aiming to have something of a prototype of that one done by... D-December? (I was originally aiming for March of this year, but we all saw how that went. And by "went" I mean left. Gone like yesterday's breakfast. Barely even a memory.)

Anyways, thanks again! Hopefully, we'll meet again soon!

Stay fresh. 😎

Thank you very much for fixing the sound toggle on mobile! I've been playing the game on my phone in bed each night while listening to podcasts and, as cute as the sound effects are, I appreciate the option to turn them off!
